Four year BS Social Sciences program aims at developing a mind capable for discharging obligations as a globally responsible citizen in the context of the Muslim Ummah. These endeavors must be rooted in various professional domains through research and development. The program provides interdisciplinary perspective on the study of man and society, both at the individual and collective levels. Using the latest knowledge and methods of the social sciences, the participants majoring in Social Sciences i.e. Psychology, Media and Communication, Education, Political Science, Philosophy or Sociology, are empowered to think clearly about social problems and issues. Their ability to take initiative for solving problems results in production of new knowledge.

A variety of courses in the social sciences equip its graduates with modern research tools to analyze policy decisions and their impact on social development. They try to understand and apply a scientific approach in the study of contemporary social issues. Courses in Social Sciences foster critical thinking in order to better understand human actions. The participants are able to unfold meanings which are constructed through social interactions and sustained by a number of socio-political factors; the factors that becomes barriers to any social and political change necessary to safeguard the real interests of the people and to change the forms of life they live in.

Selection criteria for BS Social Sciences

  • Intermediate (50% marks or above)
  • Senior Cambridge
  • A-Level or equivalent
