Dr Ambreen Salahuddindid her PhD in Gender Studies from the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, University of the Punjab. Her area of research is Gender and Literature. Title of her PhD thesis is "Women’s lives and images: Traditional Symbolism in Pakistani Fiction". Dr Ambreen Salahuddin has teaching experience of around 15 years as University Faculty at LCWU and UMT. She has five books to her credit. Her research work titled as Feminism in Modern Urdu Poetesses published in 2005, is included in syllabus of Gender Studies at various universities. Research areas of her interest are gender and literature, gender identities, feminism, fiction, women writers, entrepreneurship, women vendors and theological debates.
