The Department of Political Science and International Relations proudly celebrates its alumna Aroma Zainab for co-hosting the international conference “From the Margins to the Center: Community-Led Strategies for Peacebuilding, Development, and Security” during Fall Peace Week 2025 at the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution, George Mason University (USA). Currently pursuing her graduate studies with a concentration in Conflict-Sensitive Development and Resilience, Aroma played a key role in bringing together scholars, practitioners, and community leaders to promote inclusive, community-driven approaches to peacebuilding and human security, highlighting the importance of amplifying marginalized voices in global peace and policy dialogues.
