Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPSIR) at University of Management and Technology, Lahore, congrtulates its BS IR alumnus Raja Zarkullah Khan for successfully completing a paid summer research internship program at the Strategic Vision Institute (SVI), Islamabad, where he worked on Emerging Technologies and Prospects of Future Security in South Asia. His research focused on nuclear deterrence, artificial intelligence, drones technology, and UAVs with a particular emphasis on South Asia's strategic landscape. As part of the internship, he presented his research, engaged in policy discussions, and was honored to deliver the concluding speech at the closing ceremony. The internship also included an academic visit to Pakistan’s Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA) offering first hand insights into nuclear safety, regulatory frameworks, and Pakistan’s commitment to peaceful and secure nuclear practices. It was a highly enriching and professionally valuable experience. DPSIR belives in engaging its students with research thinktanks for better career prospects.
