Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPSIR), as part of its National Outreach Program (NOP), formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Institute of Regional Studies (IRS), Islamabad. The MOU was signed by Dr. Muhammad Usman Askari, Chair of DPSIR, and Ambassador Jauhar Saleem, President of IRS. Additional faculty members present included Dr. Sadia Kazmi, Assistant Professor, and Mr. Saad Malik, Lecturer.
Under this partnership, IRS has committed to arranging student visits to the National Assembly, Senate, and Foreign Office, as well as developing short courses in collaboration with DPSIR and delivering expert lectures. Additionally, DPSIR students will have the opportunity to contribute papers and articles to IRS’s quarterly publication.
Key areas of academic interest for future research collaborations and conferences were identified. IRS also expressed its full support for providing internships to DPSIR students, strengthening practical training and engagement opportunities.
