Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Usman Askari has been appointed for three years as Chairman Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPSIR) at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSSH, as per a notification issued by the University of Management & Technology, Lahore, on May 14, 2024.
The entire faculty of DPSIR congratulated Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Usman Askari for taking charge as head of the department. On the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Usman Askari shared his vision for the department and showed commitment to develop a conducive environment in the department where both students and teachers can thrive. He emphasized fostering research culture among faculty on issues in contemporary times as this will not only help them grow intellectually and professionally but will also inspire their students to walk in their footsteps.
Dr. Muhammad Usman Askari has been in academia for more than a decade. He has an M.Phil. in Political Science and a Ph.D. in International Relations from the Department of Political Science, University of the Punjab, Lahore. He has a wide range of research publications in academic journals of international repute.
