UMT’s Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPSIR) had the honor of participating in the Prize Distribution Ceremony on 16th October, 2025, at the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, for the Maritime Essay Competition 2025. At this prestigious national event, the department celebrated the achievement of its recent graduates, Mughees Ahmed Khan and Phelomeana Ann. They secured second place and a cash prize of PKR 75,000 for their essay titled “Bridging the Naval Gap: Leveraging Autonomous Drone Swarms to Enhance Pakistan’s Maritime Security.” The ceremony recognized their academic brilliance and innovative thinking. It also showcased UMT-DPSIR’s growing contribution to national-level scholarly and strategic discourse.
