Dr. Uzair Amjad is an accomplished sociologist, currently serving as Assistant Professor and Ph.D. Program Advisor at the Department of Sociology, University of Management and Technology (UMT), Lahore. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from Monash University, Australia, with a dissertation titled "Disrupted Masculinity: Infertile Pakistani Men and Their Therapeutic Encounters". This groundbreaking research offers a nuanced exploration of the intersections between masculinity, infertility, and healthcare systems in Pakistan, marking a significant contribution to the fields of gender studies, reproductive sociology, and medical anthropology. Dr. Amjad’s academic work focuses on the sociology of gender, reproduction, and technology, with a special emphasis on how cultural and structural forces shape men’s experiences of reproductive health.
