Department of Gender Studies, School of Advanced Studies organized an Open house for the students and faculty of Government Fatima Jinnah College for Women, Chuna Mandi, Lahore on September 27, 2016 at University of Management and Technology, Lahore.
Dr. Uzma Rashid (Asociate Dean, School of Social Sciences and Humanities), Ms. Ambreen Salahuddin (Assistant Professor and In-charge, DGS), Ms. Iram Rasheed (Lecturer, DGS) shared with participants regarding DGS functional hierarchy and career opportunities for students in the discipline of Gender Studies.
Ms. Saima Noreen and Ms Zanab Rana faculty members of Government Fatima Jinnah College, Chunna Mandi) shared college activities with regard to Gender Studies programme at graduate and post-graduate level. Students’ queries were answered by UMT faculty. A visit to UMT campus was also arranged for the students. Faculty of Government Fatima Jinnah College for Women also showed their interest for joint collaborations in future. Session ended with vote of thanks by Ms. Ambreen Salahuddin.
