The Department of Political Science takes pride in the achievement of its two outstanding BS International Relations graduates: Mr Hamza Butt, who has been awarded the prestigious ‘Chinese Government Scholarship of Silk Road Program’ which will cover all study costs as well as his living expenses for the full duration of the two years Masters in International Relations at Jilin University; and Mr Hammad Butt who has won the renowned Turkish government funding award ‘Turkiye Burslari Scholarship’ which will cover all study costs as well as his living expenses for the full duration of the two years Masters in International Relations at Ibn e Haldun University, Istanbul. The Department congratulates both of them and their families, and it is hoped that this new journey of learning they are commencing in the developed world from Fall 2018 would culminate in greater success and glory.
Mr Hamza Butt has given the following note of thanks for his teachers at the Department of Political Science: ‘I want to express my deep gratitude to all teachers at the Department of Political Science who gave me a great learning experience during my four years of study there. In particular, I'm grateful to Dr Shoaib Pervez and Ms Amna Rashid for providing the much needed recommendation letters; and I owe my greatest gratitude to Mr Sohaib Ali under whose supervision I was able to produce an A- grade thesis – that thesis and Sir Sohaib’s technical advice during the preparation of my scholarship application, have contributed a lot to my success.’
Mr Hammad Butt has given the following note of thanks for his teachers at the Department of Political Science: ‘I'm thankful to all my teachers at the Department of Political Science for contributing to my learning. I owe special thanks to Mr Sohaib Ali who selflessly kept guiding me even after I had graduated, his technical guidance during the preparation of my admission and scholarship case helped me to succeed in my ambition. I also want to offer thanks to Dr Shoaib Pervez for being a great source of inspiration, and to Ms Amna Rashid for her generous recommendation letter.’
