Tree Plantation Project by students of Environmental Politics
Wednesday, April 18, 2018Students of Environmental Politics, Department of Political Science carried out an exclusive project at UMT by planting more than a hundred trees in the campus. The purpose of this activity was to provide students the opportunity to experience environmental activism and to make UMT campus greener by planting shady trees beside the sitting areas (benches) and walkways. Students’ efforts were greatly appreciated by Rector UMT Dr. Muhammad Aslam who inaugurated the event by planting a tree himself. Dean SSH , Dept. of Political Science faculty and chairperson Dr. Shoaib Pervez also planted trees to encourage students initiative.
