Amna Arif joined UMT, School of Social Sciences and Humanities in February 2008. She is working as a lecturer in Department of Special Needs Education. She holds an M.Sc degree in Applied Psychology with distinction from University of the Punjab. She has completed M.Phil Special Education from UMT and earned Rector Medal.
Now she is a PhD scholar at UMT in the same field i.e. Special Education. She has been teaching the students of BS Social Sciences and MA Special Education and Education at UMT. Before joining UMT, she worked in an NGO for the management of special children as a psychologist.
She worked for 1 year with the Head of Psychiatry Department in Fatima Memorial Hospital for the rehabilitation of persons with psychological problems. Her aim as a psychologist and as a special educator is to help humanity and do something valuable for the betterment of persons with disabilities and for society at large
