Dr. Humaira Ahmad is an academic specializing in Islamic civilization, modernity, postmodernity and contemporary Muslim reformist discourse. Her work explores the relationship between Islamic tradition and modern intellectual currents, with an emphasis on critical and interdisciplinary scholarship. Over the past 16 years at the University of Management and Technology, she has played a key role in shaping graduate and postgraduate research and has supervised more than 10 PhD dissertations and over 40 MPhil theses in fields such as Qur’anic hermeneutics, Hadith studies, Seerah Studies and modern Muslim intellectual trends. She serves as the Chief Editor of the Journal of Islamic Thought and Civilization (JITC), a Q1-SCOPUS-indexed journal. Under her leadership, the journal has published over 15 volumes (30 issues), becoming a platform for global academic discourse on Islam and contemporary challenges.Her research output includes over 50 peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.
