 Mission

BS Education programme desires to equip the prospective teachers not only with the pedagogical skills required to lead and learn in the global educational scenario but also with Islamic ideology and values for a holistic development of their students. 

Program Objectives

Since the programme offers 3 areas of specializations, so after the successful completion of this program the prospective professionals of related arears of specializations are expected to: 

Overall

  1. Comprehend the philosophies of education and their applications in today’s teaching, management  and learning environment

  2. Have sound grounds in the psychology of learning & development of child and the ways how students learn

  3. Have knowledge of school, society and teacher and their role and impact on each other

  4. Have deeper understanding on how curriculum is designed to meet the national standards

  5. Use the Information Communication Technology (ICT) and instructional technology in teaching and learning process 

  6. Have expertise and deeper knowledge in their areas of specialization courses 

Objectives of Educational Leadership and Management (ELM) Specialization 

  1. Be a competent School administrator with sound knowledge, understanding, skills, and application of various leadership theories 

  2. Use various leadership theories and techniques effectively 

  3. Demonstrate skills and expertise in developing procedures and  systems to assess students’ learning 

  4. Involve community effectively in learning and admin affairs of school 

  5. Monitor and supervise teachers

  6. Play the role of instructional leaders effectively

Objectives of English Language Teaching (ELT) Specialization 

  1. Develop and show  understanding of English Language Teaching procedures and requirements 

  2. Assess language students’ learning needs and interests and devise language teaching strategies accordingly to ensure maximum learning

  3. Be a competent teacher with sound knowledge, understanding, skills, and application of various language assessment techniques

  4. Apply  critical thinking skills while teaching in a live and motivational way during both on campus and online classes

  5. Show  professional ethics and code of conduct to become a professional English language teacher

  6. Develop and use English language teaching material in their classes

Objectives of  No Formal Education (NFE) Specialization 

  1. Develop and show  understanding of Non Formal Education and Teaching procedures and requirements 

  2. Assess NFE students’ learning needs and interests and devise teaching strategies accordingly to ensure maximum learning of their students

  3. Be a competent teacher with sound skills and application of various NFE assessment techniques

  4. Apply  critical thinking skills while teaching to a non-formal class 

  5. Show  professional ethics and code of conduct to become a professional NFE teacher

  6. Develop and use NFE teaching material in their classes

  7. Involve community in promoting NFE

    General Admission Requirements for Students

    1. Intermediate or equivalent (  12    years) qualification with minimum (50  %) marks

    2. In case of O Level, A Level, American High School Diploma or any other equivalent foreign qualification equivalence from Local/Pakistani relevant body.

    3. UMT Test and Interview 

    Eligibility Criteria:

    As per UMT rules or specified by the regulatory body

    (12 years of education or equivalent with 45% marks or equivalent )
