A talk on post 2000 Pakistan India peace process: Challenges, opportunities and implications was held at the Department of Political Science & IR (DPSIR), UMT. It was a panel discussion by Irshad Mehmud -Analyst/writer/expert on Kashmir, Dr sadaf sultana - Assistant Professor, DPSIR, UMT and Dr Arshad Ali -Director India Study Centre at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad. The session was moderated by faculty member Saad Malik which was followed by a Question and Answers session. Idea was to highlight various historical, diplomatic, legal, political and military aspects of this conflict. Reasons of failure of the post 2000 peace process were explored. Speakers also shared various recommendations of resolving this long standing dispute between the nuclear armed neighbours.
