1. Registration and Payment
- Confirmation: Registration is only considered complete once the full payment has been received and verified by the UMT Accounts Office.
- Category Accuracy: Participants must register under the correct category (Presenter vs. Attendee). Presenters who fail to pay by the 30 September 2026 deadline will have their papers removed from the conference program and proceedings.
- Currency: Local participants must pay in PKR. International participants are required to pay the equivalent in USD as specified.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Before 31 August 2026: Full refund minus a 15% administrative processing fee.
- 01 September – 15 October 2026: 50% refund of the registration fee.
- After 15 October 2026: No refunds will be issued as materials and catering commitments will have been finalized.
- Request Process: All refund requests must be sent in writing to the Secretariat at [email protected].
3. Substitution Policy
- If a registered participant is unable to attend, they may nominate a substitute (from the same institution/organization) at no extra cost, provided the Secretariat is notified by 10 November 2026.
4. International Travel and Visas
- Visa Responsibility: Obtaining a visa for entry into Pakistan is the sole responsibility of the participant.
- Invitation Letters: UMT will provide an official "Letter of Invitation" only after the registration fee is paid in full.
- Travel/Lodging: All airfare and accommodation expenses are to be borne by the participants. UMT is not liable for costs incurred due to visa rejections or travel delays.
5. Force Majeure
- In the event that the conference cannot be held as a physical event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, public health emergencies, or government restrictions), the organizing committee reserves the right to transition the conference to a Virtual/Online format. Registration fees will be adjusted to a "Virtual Rate," and the difference will be refunded.
6. Intellectual Property & Photography
- By attending, participants agree that UMT may use photographs or video recordings taken during the event for promotional and archival purposes.
- All presenters retain the intellectual property of their research, though the conference reserves the right to publish abstracts in the conference booklet and full papers in the official proceedings.
