Program Mission Statement

M.Phil in Islamic Studies specialization in Seerat-un-Nabi (S.A.W) program aims to cultivate scholarly excellence and critical insight in the study of Seerat un-Nabi (SAW) by nurturing ethical, academic, and spiritual development. The program aspires to produce researchers and educators who can contextualize the life and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) in light of contemporary challenges and contribute meaningfully to Islamic scholarship, community development, and global discourse.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. Study and develop a profound comprehension of the life, character, teachings, and exemplary practices of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) through a scholarly approach.
  2. Cultivate advanced research skills to analyze historical, theological, and cultural aspects of Seerat un Nabi (SAW) using primary and secondary sources.
  3. Equip students with the ability to relate the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) to contemporary issues and challenges faced by Muslim societies and the global community.
  4. Foster a deeper appreciation of the ethical, moral, and spiritual values embodied in the Seerah and how they can be implemented in personal, social, and professional life.
  5. Prepare graduates for careers in academia, research institutions, religious education, and community leadership roles, promoting the values of Seerat un Nabi (SAW).
