The Memorandum of Understanding MoU between the University of Management and Technology, (Dept. of Political Science and International Relations), and the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT) was made and came into effect after signing by both parties on 23rd August 2023. PILDAT is one of the most vibrant organizations working on active youth participation for the betterment of the overall electoral process in Pakistan.
The Purpose of this MoU is to bring forth multiple opportunities such as Youth Participation and Youth Engagement in the Electoral process while facilitating the youth through a congenial environment. Those areas of interest include these salient features.
a) Initiate debates and discussions on the role of Youth participation in the electoral process of Pakistan.
b) Research support to university students and faculty including data access/availability of relevant resources
c) Provide merit-based-internship opportunities for selected university students
d) Conduct seminars/discussions/research on a mutual consensus basis
e) Work on Women's Empowerment
