Two Months Certification Course-Behavior Management of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

This course is specially designed for parents, professionals and students who are working in the field of Autism Spectrum Disorder. For parents, the aim is to equip them with the skills of behavior management that make them independent in managing their children at home setting. This two-month certificate course will provide hands-on practice using the behavioral management techniques under constant monitoring of the experts. The participants will also learn about behavior modification and teaching a new desirable behavior. Handling the difficult behaviors that autistic children can display is a challenge for parents, and can be extraordinarily stressful. But new research shows that teaching or "training" parents and professionals how to better manage these behaviors can make a big difference in the children's everyday functioning.

  • To provide awareness about the research-based effectiveness of behavioral interventions.  

  • To train the participants to manage the behavioral issues of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

  • To provide hands-on practice for the behavior modification of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.   

  • To equip the parents with the required skills of behavior management that will help them to better collaborate with the school.

  1. The participants will be able to collect base-line data for inappropriate behavior   

      before behavior modification. 

  1. Parents will become independent in managing their children with Autism in home-setting.

  2. The professionals in the field of Autism will better able to apply the behavioral interventions during the teaching process. 

 8 Weeks or 2 Months

Two months long duration of the course is divided into eight modules and the students will be promoted to the next module once they will get complete command in the previous one. 

Class Duration:

The class will be held two times a week and the duration of the class will be 3 hours.

  • Applicants must be enrolled in 16 or 18 years of education program from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan.

  • Parents of children with Autism can also get registered.
