Abdul Rehman Ajmal is a Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and International Relations (DPSIR) at UMT, Lahore. He has completed his M.Phil. in International Relations from the same department. Prior to this, he has done a bachelor’s in English Language from NUML Islamabad. He has received numerous achievements in his academic career. He was a gold medalist in bachelor’s, dean’s merit award holder in M.Phil. and received merit certificates at undergraduate and graduate levels. Before joining UMT as a lecturer, he was a visiting faculty member at DPSIR, UMT. Abdul Rehman also worked as an Associate Editor at Pakistan’s first international English news channel 'Indus News'. The area of his interest is “Middle East Politics,” wherein he is interested in exploring the link between identity and politics in the Arab world and Iran. The title of his M.Phil. thesis was “The Arab Spring and Iran: A Case Study of Geopolitics and Identity" in which he also received the highest grade.
