Qasim did MA in Social and Political Thought from the University of Sussex, UK with distinction. He also has an M.Phil. degree in political science from Forman Christian College, Lahore. Qasim has three main areas of interest: critical theory, decolonial theory, and political sociology. He presented his MA and M.phil research at two international conferences organized by the University of Brighton, Uk, and the University of Chicago, USA. For his Ph.D., Qasim is working on a research proposal that aims to explore the social life of lower castes Muslims.
